The Interdisciplinary Clinical Research Consortium (ICRC) was created on 24th May 2023. The organization was previously called Est African Medical Research Initiative.

It was founded by a group of 6 specialists : Dr. Kumbowi Kumbakulu Patrick, Dr. Twesigemukama Sabinah, Dr. Nakalema Gloria, Dr. Kambale Munyambalu Dalton, Dr. Asiimwe Daniel, Dr. Katembo Sikakulya Franck.
